New Theme!
Two updates in one day! I'm on fire everybody! Well, this update is pretty significant than the other one (I guess fixing the script
was cool and all) because it adds a new theme to Jolt Blog. Yeah, my hardly used blog software has a new theme, that is actually
nice looking. It's called coverage, and you can download it here and just add it to your templates
folder.
I've added it to the official Jolt Blog download, too, all for now. Click here to see it live.
Fixes
Well, today I fixed my domain name checker. It is now back online, a simple error:
include("config.php")Fixed it and now it's online and working again. Haven't updated in over 2 weeks, planning to update in a few days, all for now.
Jolt Blog 1.6 Official Release
For quite some time now there has been a few minor errors and mistakes on some parts of Jolt Blog, and I've been quite lazy and have never got around
to fixing them. Well I have finally got around to actually fix them. This is the point of this whole update, I did fix some messy coding in a few parts
in the adminstrator control panel.
With this update, I present to you a debate, officially ending maintenance on Jolt Blog. I first began Jolt Blog for an easy solution for simple
features you'd want in a small blog software, and I think I've accomplished just that. There's many things I've never finished on Jolt Blog that
I'd like to such as the help documentation integrated into the script, a possible built-in web template creation tool to let users build their blog
the way they want 100%. These things just will not be accomplished because I am... lazy when it comes to doing this. I am surprised I got this far
in development with my lazyness. I'm not saying I am ending updates on it now, but just let me know what you think. Another thing, I built this for
actually a project... a test to see of my abilities when I began PHP. All for now, download the update :).
Few updates...
You may or may not have noticed, I released a new theme for Jolt Blog, called substantial. Download it, here. There's a small guide on how to add it to your current installation of Jolt Blog. I also ended support for Jolt Board (it never came out of beta stages) so it will no longer be updated or on the projects page. Oh and fixed an edit on my contact page, it is also very early so I am gonna try to sleep, all for now.
Domain Name Checker Broken
You may or may not have noticed, but if you navigate to my domain name checker webpage you will notice it is blank. The cause of it I currently do not know, but it is broken. I don't have the time now to write up a new one, but I will look at it some time when I get a chance to see if I can fix it, it may be simple with a server that is no longer online, so if it was being used on your website it may not work anymore. I will keep you tuned.
Typing error - fixed
Well, checking my computer before heading off to sleep got an email from a user helping me out telling me about
some errors (where links would goto wrong pages) and they're fixed. Original email is below so I thank you. I usually
get emails but just like cool script or website or they need help on my scripts.

Jolt Blog Fixes
Today I have did a bunch of fixes on Jolt Blog, such as...
- Fixed copyrights on administrator control panel
- Fixed top banner in administrator control panel
- Cleaned up messy functions in administrator control
As you can see most of it is in the adminstrator control panel, download the fixes here. Hope you like it, eventually I'll make a form where you can submit your ideas, suggestions and report bugs (because there is probably a bunch).
In the next update (or version) I plan to allow blog owners edit blog name from template settings (now you must go into configuration file) because you may want to change it after installation (where it's set at first). All for now.
